Chellese’s Story
Chellese, a Virginia resident and mother, was diagnosed with cervical cancer when she was only 29 years old. Chellese sees the HPV vaccination as cancer prevention and hopes that her own daughter will never have to go through what she did. "There's a lot of things that I can't protect her against, but this is something that I can prevent". Watch Chellese's story to hear why she chose to vaccinate her daughter.

Julianna’s Story
Julianna travelled over 100 miles away from Alabama to be treated in Georgia at the Georgia Cancer Center, where she was diagnosed with cervical cancer at 27. Recently, she has relocated to Georgia and now spends time advocating for HPV awareness and prevention. She also helped successfully lobby for Cervical Cancer Awareness Month in Georgia (January), a goal she was 'ecstatic' about. She encourages others to "get the HPV vaccine for yourself and your children if you are able to."

Jason’s Story
Jason is a Florida resident and father of three who has turned his stage 4 HPV-related tonsil cancer diagnosis into his Superman story. He is a passionate advocate for the HPV vaccine for both boys and girls. "To hopefully save and protect boys and girls from HPV preventable cancer is the reason I share my story."

Beth’s Story
Beth's story starts in 1993 with a diagnosis of pre-cancerous HPV cells. Since then, the Georgia resident and UGA alum has had a long battle with recurrent vaginal/cervical cancer that has spread to her bladder. Beth is currently in her second battle with cervical cancer. "I hope that my story and experiences can help others become more diligent in following up on getting their annual PAPs and learning about HPV related cancers."

Tara’s Story
Tara had just graduated with her degree to be a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in 2016 when she was diagnosed with persistent HPV 16 infection, ultimately causing her to need a hysterectomy. The Georgian mother of 4 now emphasizes that, "cervical cancer can happen to anyone; however, it is preventable!!"
